The lecture is organized in collaboration with Sõltumatu Tantsu Lava and Tartu 2024, part of „Moving Cities“ project.
The lecture introduces places where time seems to have stood still in the urban space – urban pauses. The lecture aims to provide answers to questions about the values and possibilities of these places, how to activate urban pauses, and what is interim use.
Eve Komp is a practising architect and one of the founders of the architecture and landscape firm Stuudio Punktiir. In addition, she gives lectures at the Estonian Academy of Arts and is initiator of the non-profit organization "Ruumiringlus", focusing on the topics of adaptive reuse and intermediate use of vacant spaces. She has won several architecture competitions and has both organized and participated in numerous exhibitions, seminars, workshops, and lectures.
