Soul Matrix is an adventure (game?)
You’re not the author, yet this story cannot happen without you. You hope that in the end, everything will turn out fine, but at the same time, you fear disappointment – that nothing will come of it.
But what is this something? How can something also be nothing? How does meaning arise? What is beauty?

There are no guarantees. This is a game with yourself.
You don’t know whether you’ll win or lose, but maybe you’re not here to win at all.
If there’s no victory, there’s no defeat – so what remains then?
Breathe.

Hanna Samoson (b. 1987) explores the boundaries of art and seeks to touch the unknown. Constantly in motion, her intuitive artistic process is marked by fast, spontaneous decisions. She studied photography at the Estonian Academy of Arts and contemporary art at FAMU in Prague.

In autumn 2020, Hanna completed a durational performance by walking the future Rail Baltic route from Ikla to Tallinn. A documentary film about the project, Trail Baltic: A Journey into the Green (2023), was created in collaboration with Levila.

Her recent works include the solo exhibition Magic is sometimes very close to nothing at Tallinn Art Hall’s Lasnamäe Pavilion (2024), and her upcoming participation in the 9th Artishok Biennial with the exhibition How to Find the Lion That Swallowed You? (2025).
