It is customary for UIT to celebrate the end of the festival with a party at an unusual location. We’ve danced in a boiler room, police station, metal factory, overgrown hangar and a chinese restaurant. This year it’s time to straighten our manes because we are inviting you to a stable!

This year, the closing party is held at an urban stable; a noble structure familiar only to those who have dared to peek over the high fences surrounding it. Our mustangs of electronic music are here to delight the audience with sights and sounds. The UIT night is filled with indie-soul, ethereal electronics, gentle basslines, vaporwave, R&B, and everything that fits in and around there. Bar and pizza by Kolm Tilli.

HUNT is a blend of indie-soul and electro beats with a post-romantic attitude in vocals and visuals. Led by two sociology and musicology researchers Hannaliisa Uusma and Brigitta Davidjants. HUNT is accompanied by VJ Kristin Pärn, who creates visual dimensions.

HUNT means wolf in Estonian, but Hannaliisa and Brigitta well have the “hunting” spark in their eyes, so the ambiguous name could also refer to the chase of research, exploring new soundscapes. HUNT’s second studio album “Station Luna” was released in May 2021. The album features eight new songs and Leslie Da Bass’s remix of “Siberia”, which was originally released last spring on the cassette “Split” on the US This & That Tapes label. In the rather introspective release, electro and street soul meet cosmic digital and analog sounds and the moods of the past and present. Dancier tendencies are represented by the title track of the album.

Metabora is an experimental music project of Nathan Tulve that explores the boundaries of contrasts, creating hyper realistic audio-narratives where tenderness, utopia, violence and fantasy combine. During the urban festival UIT, Metabora is presenting an audio-visual show that has been created in cooperation with the visual artist Johanna Ruukholm.

Florian Wahl, the eccentric from the Dreaming Embryo Theatre, will perform a surreal spectacle that brings together beauty and grotesque, latex and baroque, chainsaws and classics. Not constrained to any single genre, he burst deliriously through vaporware, R&B, punk rock, and everything in between, time and again reaching an overdose of metamorphosis. What can be left after such a kaleidoscopic scream?
